FBC's 9th Anniversary & 7th Homebrew Competition/Festival

1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Style: IPA

English IPA, West Coast IPA, East Coast IPA, Double IPA, Triple IPA, Session IPA, Black IPA, Belgian IPA, New England IPA

Rules:

50 Teams of no more than four people to a team.
Official entries competing for the 1st or 2nd place prize must be an IPA and dropped off at Fam’s Brewing Co, Famulari’s Hanahan, or Beer Engineer Supply.
April 11 - 15; 3 bottles of the submitted beer for judging.
All submissions must be bottled unless permitted to submit a keg.
Need to provide style, ABV, and other pertinent requirements…special ingredients.

Prizes:

1st Place (Homebrew IPA Selected by Judges) – winning beer will get to help brew a full batch of the recipe on the pro system, $300 cash, and a Fam's Brewing Co. gift card
2nd Place/Runner-Up (Homebrew IPA Selected by Judges) – $100 cash, and a Fam's Brewing Co. gift card
People’s Choice (Crowd favorite, does not have to be IPA) – $50 Fam's Brewing Co. gift card
Best Decorated Tent – $50 Fam's Brewing Co. gift card

Important Home brewer Dates:

Registration begins on Friday January 30, 2026
Registration ends on Friday, February 20, 2026
Submissions open Sat., April 11 - Wed., April 15 (B.E.S. drop off Sat., April 11 - Sun., April 12 & Wed., April 15)
Homebrew Festival Saturday, April 18 1pm-5pm (Setup is from 10:30am - 12pm.)

Fam's Brewing Co. Provides:

Tents/Tables/Tasting Cups/Ice

Participants Supplies:

Chairs, beer for the public to sample, tent decorations. Participants may also bring additional beers including ones that are not IPAs.

$15 includes one tasting glass per teammate, one $25 Fam’s Brewing Co. gift card, and two Chucktown Brewdown shirts.
