About the Event
Chucktown Brewdown is back for another round, and this year it’s built for the hop heads.
This annual homebrew festival brings together some of the Lowcountry’s most creative brewers for an afternoon of great beer, good people, and whatever they’ve been cooking up behind the scenes. All competition beers this year will be IPAs, with each team putting their own spin on the same base ingredients. Some will keep it classic, others will take it somewhere unexpected.
And while IPA is the name of the game for the competition, brewers will also be pouring additional styles they’ve been working on, so expect plenty of variety beyond the judging table.
Over the years, Chucktown Brewdown has been a starting point for brewers who went on to open their own spots like Coffin Island Brewing and Wyrd Sisters Brewing. Even our own co-owner and head brewer, Justin, started out right here, refining…
